The Case of Organizational Innovation Capability and Health Information Technology Implementation Success

Organizational innovation capability is defined as the ability to continuously transform knowledge and ideas into new products, processes systems for benefit of an organization its stakeholders. This study examines relationship between healthcare organizations their successfully implement electronic medical records (EMR), a health information technology (HIT) innovation. Data was collected using cross-sectional survey structural equation modeling (SEM) method used analyze data. Results demonstrate that organizational product positively affects EMR implementation success. A positive also exists process one first empirically validate organization’s HIT success, in context EMRs. Implications academic industry practitioner are discussed.
